Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

No, Colorado is considered a “direct access” state for physical therapy. You can receive physical therapy services directly without a referral from your doctor!

What should I expect on the first visit?

Your first visit is your initial evaluation where you and your physical therapist will focus on getting to know you, understanding your history, concerns, and goals for pelvic floor therapy. We'll discuss your key priorities to develop a personalized plan aimed at helping you feel better. Taking a comprehensive approach, we’ll assess your entire body, not just one area. This will include a physical exam to evaluate your movement, strength, mobility, and any tension patterns. If you're comfortable, we may also perform an internal pelvic floor muscle assessment for more detailed insights. Throughout the visit, we’ll educate you about the pelvic floor, answer your questions, and share our recommendations. You’ll also begin treatment and leave with a clear action plan for your care moving forward.

Will I be given exercises or recommendations at home?

Yes! We believe that a great deal of progress is made at home between visits! We give a home exercise program and recommend modifications at each visit to progress and help you reach your goals.

Will treatment be in a private room or a large gym space?

All of our therapy sessions take place in private treatment rooms. No walking through a large crowded gym space to get to your private room. Our goal is to create a comfortable and a personalized experience.

What Should I Wear to My Visits?

Feel free to wear whatever you’re comfortable in! Ideally, choose clothing that is stretchy and allows for easy movement.

How do I get to your office?
