Melissa Schweitz, PT, DPT

“Hi, I’m Melissa! I am so glad you’re here. My passion is to create care where you feel heard and empowered. You may feel alone and the only one with problems like these, but I assure you, you are not. Too often leaking, pain, and discomfort and written off and ignored by other health care professionals. These issues are common but NOT normal. You deserve to be heard and receive excellent care to rid of these issues.

I am a mom to two boys, one of which we just welcomed in September 2024! I can tell you first hand how education knowledge, and pelvic floor PT changes a pregnancy and delivery experience. With my pregnancies I was experiencing low back and pelvic pain that was greatly reduced with PT. I was also able to prepare myself and body for birth resulting in two beautiful deliveries. I can confidently say not only being a pelvic PT, but also seeing one continuously during my pregnancy, allowed me to have a smooth recovery and positive birth experiences.

I grew up in beautiful Evergreen Colorado. I received my bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Colorado State University. After graduation, I ventured to Florida to obtain my Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Saint Augustine which specializes in manual therapy and orthopedics. Within the first week of my graduate program, I knew treating pelvic floor was my passion and never looked back. I began taking extra courses specializing in pelvic health while still in school and continued when graduating in 2019. Since then, I have completed courses through Herman and Wallace and am certified in functional dry needling.
